Don't limit yourself to online promotion. There are many great ways to promote your business off-line as well at low cost that will produce great results!

Here are 10 great ways to promote off-line that you should seriously consider:

1. Place a small magnetic sign on your car (magnetic so that you can take it off at anytime). On this sign, advertise your business name, your slogan, and your web address. Then anyone driving near you will see your sign. You can learn more about this at: http://www.soaringprofits.com/magnets.htm.

2. Run print ads in small publications. At http://www.BizAds.com you can find a list of prices and circulations from various publishers. Select a few places to run your print ads. For $3 - $5 your ad can be circulated in print to 1,000 - 5,000 by postal mail.

3. Use pre-printed brochures that you can customize using your laser printer. Several companies (such as http://www.paperaccess.com and http://www.paperdirect.com) sell brochures with color pictures or designs that you can purchase (for around $20 to $30 for 100 brochures). Then just run them through your laser printer to add your advertising message! Many businesses such as restaurants, doctor, and dental offices, and small stores will allow you to place your brochures on the counter for free distribution. Even some chambers of commerce allow this practice in their offices for chamber members.

4. Have clothing items such as t-shirts and ball caps printed with your business name, slogan, and web address. You know this works because you often read the printed messages on t-shirts and ball caps.

5. Have small promotional items such as pens, mugs, calendars printed. These items serve as a constant reminder about your business to others. How often do you look at a calendar, use a mug, or write with a pen?

6. Sponsor a youth athletic team. Your business name, slogan and web address then is printed on t-shirts which are worn by each member of the athletic team. Many of the youth wear these t-shirts long after the season is over.

7. Pass out business cards and flyers that have your business name, slogan, and web address.

8. Print up a press release. Then distribute it to media outlets in your area. To learn more about organizing and distributing your press release, go to: http://www.soaringprofits.com /release.htm.

9. Get on a tv or radio talk show. Sound impossible? One savvy entrepreneur did it and sold tons of books as a result (see http://www.soaringprofits.c om/gazillion.htm for a great article on this topic, including some ideas on how to get on the air using this promotional technique).

10. Print up bumper stickers for your vehicles. You know this is effective because you often read bumper stickers while stuck in traffic.
