So what are these three things? Quite simply this: Relevancy, CTR, and Placement. That's it. The three things will decide if you make it or break it using PPC. A lot of people say what about CPC? Well, it IS about CPC. These things, when tended to correctly and executed with precision, WILL lower your CPC. Simple, right? If you stay relevant with your ads, say the right things, and point it towards the right audience, you will lower CPC and increase profits overall. So let's talk about the first factor: Relevancy. If you didn't know, becasue maybe you're a caveman like in those car insurance commercials, Google is founded on the principle of relevancy. If you want lower CPC, this is the place you would start. You have to make every aspect of your ad relevant to whatever it is you're writing the ad about. You'll want to make the landing page, the copy and even the keywords all relevant to lower CPC this way. How to be Relevant. First off, choose only keywords that are in your ad. By only using words that you put into your ad, you raise yor relevancy. Second, write your ad, so that the keyword or keywords show up multiple times in the ad. Not only is this for relevancy but to stand out, too. Third, make your sure the page you direct your readers to contains the keywords in the page. All of this is good. The second factor is CTR or Click Thru Ratio. This is the percentage of Views versus the Percentage of Actual Clicks on the ad. By writing good ads that stand out and get people to click, you lower CTR over time. Your costs will go down, and hopefully then you'll be getting more subscribers or profits. The Last factor in Adwords management is Placement. Obviously there is Google search. And this is dictated by the keywords you choose when you setup your ad. Use only the keywords in your ad, and CPC will go down. And if there is a lot of competition, and you don't mind waiting, start low with bidding. Hopefully the cost will come back to your through sales and subscribers. There is also content network. This is essentially adsense, the ads that are displayed on other people's websites. This can be cheap exposure, but at the same time, a lot of impressions can mean the costs add up quickly. I only recommend using it if you have some experience with adwords. Well, that is all for now. Maybe these tips will help you in the future. If you want more information about adwords, check out Adwords on Overdrive.
