What if you only deliver in a certain area – say the county you are in because you personally deliver bouquets of flowers you made up. Then you don’t want your ad to be showing to somebody who lives 200 miles away. If you only ship with the UK then you only want to be targeting the UK. How do I check where I am targeting? Tick the Campaign you wish to view then click on ‘Edit Settings’ – on the right hand side of the next page is ‘Target Audience’ which will list the areas you are targeting. From this point you can edit where you would like to target. With customised location targeting e.g. you only want your ads to show within a 25 mile radius of your business, Google will attempt to identify people performing a search via their IP address. Unfortunately this isn't 100% full proof - actually it's probably only 70-80% accurate but it is better than targeting a whole country.
