The phenomenal thing is that we are now connected as a world of WIFIs, DSLs, Blackberrys and iphones so traditional advertising such as television commercials, radio commercials, print ads and billboard advertising are almost ancient history. As a small business owner of ATW Consulting LLC I have had to force myself into social marketing and advertising on the internet and the trial of making an old dog learn new tricks as you know, can be very challenging.

As a business consultant, I have had to learn how to monetize social networking communities such as Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and others to create free leads. Creating marketing strategies for sales lead generation has been if not annoying, frustrating. Do you remember the commercial where the guy throws his PC out the window! That's how I have felt several times over the years! I have been on the internet since 1998 and watched it grow. I've learned and relearned new sales lead generation and lead marketing techniques as the ever changing technology continues to grow exponentially.

After starting my last website for ATW Consulting LLC, a small business consulting firm in September of 2008, I spent time with SEO marketing techniques for search engine optimization which gets the site registered with Google, Yahoo and others. From November of 2008 to August of 2009 I pretty much didn't do anymore SEO optimization besides resubmitting my site to the top search engines twice more. My team and I concentrated on generating sales leads through craigslist and print advertising due to our limited advertising budget. In the field of business consulting, the competition is fierce. We had to rule out Pay Per Click advertising. The search term 'business consultant' was literally $35+ per click to be in the top 5 PPC ads on Google! So, as a small business owner I had to find other effective inexpensive lead marketing techniques. I started my Blog in November of 2008 but didn't really post content in a consistent manner. By February of 2009 the buzz about Facebook and Myspace had been getting so tha

it definitely couldn't be ignored. My teenage sons had a MySpace for a few years and of course I never even thought about getting a MySpace, that's for kides! Then I found out about Facebook which was more for professionals. I invited all of my friends, family and business associates in the real estate field. I enjoy chatting with others about interesting subjects and our successes in real estate. But I haven't actually utlilized this new community of thousands of people to actually generate leads or considered it for lead marketing campaigns. I started our YouTube channel by Novemeber of 2009 but, getting on camera isn't really something I enjoy doing! I don't know if I can humiliate myself like Kristie Allie! As embarrassing as this is to confess, I would like to loose a few pounds before blasting my face all over the web! Finally, this year I started a new and exciting business in the Silver industry and through the leaders in this company, I learned some phenomenal sales lead marketing techniques that made the learning curve 50 times easier. The learning curve for me was long and exhausting and in my mind I definitely through the laptop against the wall at least 100 times in the last 10 years trying to crack the perverbial internet marketing code! When I found out about attraction marketing and how it can generate sales leads my lead marketing campaign finally became easy.

I must say it has been a learning curve and I now share my learning curve with other small business owners so that they too can find out what needs to be done to cut that learning curve and advertising budget down to a fraction. Finding leads online used to be very expensive and unaffordable for small business owners on limited advertising budgets. In today;s limited credit environment the cost of pay per click advertising, banner advertising and link swapping is almost out of reach for a small business owner trying to generate leads for service based companies, MLM companies or direct sales products. Businesses like ATW Consulting LLC have needed to lower costs and find alternate ways to let the general public know about our products and services, In fact on Meet the Press this past Sunday 2/7/10 Allan Greenspan stated that only innovation will bring our economy back from the brink of failure.

The new millennium has been all about learning from the geeks! Geeks rule the new millennium and we all have to catch up because most business owners can't really afford to staff out their internet marketing department! So we are left with doing it all ourselves. I've had to update the blog and post invaluable free information for small businesses about lead generation software, free leads, business credit techniques and other useful information more frequently. Of course, we don't want our users to go to our website at Wordpress so we needed to create a website on GoDdaddy and create a forwarding address to the new site. We must provide useful content for others completely free of charge whereas much of the currently free information could have been fee based if not for the constantly changing economic climate and integration with the new web 2.0 which has connected the world through social content and social media. But as I said, we are now living in the New Millennium of the Geeks and as small business owners we must keep up with marketing trends or go out of business! So, my blog includes web 2.0 enriched content such as a vodpod widget to show off interesting economic information on Silver as described by Robert Kiyosaki and other free information on attraction marketing and internet marketing techniques. I've also created a subdomain for the main marketing site which shows my followers how to do what I do to become successful on facebook. Even learning how to create a subdomain was a new learning experience so the new site can create additional campaigns under the same brand! All of this was learned in about 48 hours after getting hip to time saving lead generating software and training from the geeks! We are now showing others these exact practices and it has been very pleasing to provide this useful sales lead generating techniques to others.
