So, you think, OK, I've got to salvage this situation quickly. I LIKE making money this way, so I'll just go create a new account. You do that, and convert the adsense ads on your 100 pages to the new account code. Then 29 days later, when you've gathered up another nice $576 in profits, you get another email from Lord Google's autoresponder. This time your account has been cancelled because it is associated with a banned Google account. Of course they keep your $576 (to return to the advertisers, right?) Well, you think, Yahoo Publisher is worth a shot. They have both an adsense-like program and an adwords-like program. And since they are a big name, surely they have lots of clout. Has to be a good deal. Wrong. Yahoo Publisher's ad targetting is, in my experienced opinion, rather poor. If you have a site for a huge general topic like "internet marketing" you'll get ads that fit your content. But if your page is about "green tea" then about all you can expect are Vonage ads and the like. They're still in beta, but your wallet isn't! There are dozens of little PPC programs, but they don't fit the bill. Either they are so small that the targeting is bad or they don't even have an adwords-type component. If I'm going to use a PPC service it had better have both an adsense-like and an adwords-like compenent. Then there is the steep learning curve, and again, reaching an actual human for help is well...google-like. Ever have one of those EUREKA moments? I did. I ran across a service that totally fit my needs. It was designed to be as much like adsense/adwords as possible. The ads use the same color schemes, and they use the common ad formats of "leaderboard," "skyscraper," "wide skyscraper," etc., that Google does. No learning curve. And targetting? They certainly do a better job than any of the other PPC alternatives. You can keyword target a page for your ads, and you'll actually get appropriate ads! For their adsense-like program they pay out 60%. (Who know how much Google pays out. They don't seem to want to tell you.) My experience is that they pay more per click than Adsense. Here's a neat thing they have for people who still have their google adsense accounts: If you put a little snippet of code into your Google Adsense pages, when Google is going to display a public service (and thus non paying) ad, this code will switch the ad to one of theirs that pays. And they look just like google ads, too! Other features they have are: 1. the ability to automatically have keywords (as many as you want) right in your content hyperlinked, and when clicked, an ad displays! 2. your own free search portal page 3. the ability to refer other webmasters and earn 10% of their ad income! 4. Probably THE most important feature: An actual HUMAN BEING who quickly and politely answers your questions! That is pure gold. If you're looking for an alternative to Google Adsense or Yahoo Publisher you can't beat this PPC company. More than 60,000 adsense advertisers have permanently lost their adsense accounts. This is an easy switch, with incredibly good results, and a big enough adwords-like membership to give you excellent ad targetting results. They've been in business since 1996, so they are not some fly-by-night operation. Don't go into hibernation if your adsense account gets terminated. In more ways than one this particular PPC service is even better than Adsense! Your Eureka moment is just around the corner.
