Basically the keywords and keyphrases are the words which are used by people to find out what they want on the internet. For a keyword to be profitable, it should have a large number of searches per month in the search engines and the web pages related to that search phrase indexed in them should be less. Keyword Research Google Adwords Keyword Tool is the best free resource to do your keyword research. Since it comes straight from Google, it gives you the most correct estimates of the number of searches of any keyword. Unfortunately this tool does not give you detailed information about the keywords. There is a tool called Micro Niche Finder which is based on the above free tool with a lot of additional features which make it a complete keyword research tool. It is cheap and you have to pay only one time fee. No monthly charges. You should pay attention to mainly three important aspects of keyword research: 1. Number of Searches This is simply the number of searches per month. If this is high that means a lot of people are looking for something related to that search phrase, which is a favorable point. 2. Competition If you find a keyword with high number of searches per month, the next step is to see how many web pages are there on Google. Just type the keyword in Google, hit search and check the number of web pages on the right upper side. If you find it is about fifty thousand or less, it is a good keyword to write an article for and you should hope to rank well for the keyword. It you come across many thousands or millions, keep away from that keyword. 3. Profitability It is not difficult to find out the profitability of your keyword. While you are looking for the competition, also see any adwords which show on the right area of the results page. In case the number of Adwords ads is high, that indicates the keyword is profitable. If there are few or no adwords, it is less likely to make any money for you. There may be exceptions though. By doing the keyword research considering above three components, you can easily find words to write your articles and be confidant that they will find good positions in search engines. ------------------------------ To read more about targeted internet marketing, go to this site: http://targetedinternetmarketingguide.com/ Advertisement
